Allergen-Free Chocolate Chip Cookies:
To a large bowl add:
5 cups fine almond flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
Whisk to mix well.
In a separate bowl combine:

4 tsp. vanilla extract
Stir to combine the wet ingredients
Add wet ingredients to dry and mix well.
Chill 30 min while you preheat oven to 350 F.
Drop spoonfuls of batter on a cookie sheet. I like to use parchment paper.
Bake 8-10 minutes or until slightly brown.
Let cool 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.

Question, you say flip the potatoes halfway through, how do you do that? Im patient for a lot of things, but flipping small things is not one of them. Do you individually flip every piece? Or just kinda mix them around?

I’m in Australia, my parents were from the UK and we were a family of 10. We ‘snacked’ as soon as we got home from school because we were active all day 60+ years ago, and needed refuelling by 3pm. Our ‘snacks’ were fresh fruit in season, or fruit tarts/pies made from home preserved fruits. I was a teenager before I tasted a sugar lolly (candy) and in my 20’s when I first ate a salty processed snack. I’d still rather have a piece of fruit or a homemade fruit tart - my palate and preferences were trained by my childhood foods. I still need a fuel top up at 3pm 😊

I have nothing but respect for you and you really seem to take good care of your family. However personally I think there seems to be a lot of added sugar in some of your recepies. I don't think these recepies are as healthy as they initially seem. It is just my opinion, no hard feelings, I hope.

I find it so hard to not let the kids snack when they are always hungry! My 9 year old is currently going through a growth spurt, and she will eat all her meals, and be begging 3 times for more food in-between. She is very slender, too. She is like me when I was pregnant- always very hungry! And no way do I have time to cook 3 meals a day AND snacks in between, nor do I have the time to wash all those dishes. This seems impossible. 😮

My first and third baby were both born through induction (both we intra uterine growth restriction). While my first was very smooth, it seemed to leave me extremely against hospital birth. My second was dream at a midwife clinic and it was so smooth and I felt 100% in control, it was amazing. But when my 3rd was IUGR again and had to be induced I had SOOO much anxiety. I had wanted to be with the midwife clinic again and that choice removed. I wanted to be free to move and I was stuck tethered to machines and monitors again. And I was terrified to be there all day and all night (my first two were less than 12 hours from start to finish). But my body responds extremely well to pitocin. And an hour after starting it I was at 80%. And 2 minutes after that my baby was born. It was the only time I felt that fetal ejection reflex. I literally could not stop her from coming out, and was actively trying not to push. But she came out in under 2 minutes with no tearing at all! I don’t know if I have another, but if I do I know I will be dealing with the anxiety again, and I will once again have to trust God that everything is in his hands.

Alsooo I have no idea how you find the time and energy to do so much meal preparation && wash all the dishes for 8 kids I have 1 and I’m exhausted but I try to cook everything home made too from scratch or close too try not to use any packages or pre made foods/ meals. I’m going to try and make my own home made fruit snacks as my 18m old loves the Welch’s brand but I don’t like giving him packaged foods. Going to try a few recipes you have !! To help make snacks premade ready to snack on and not making each meal and snack as we need it have items ready to gooooo

This video was a god-send for me. I always felt so overwhelmed by always getting stuck in the kitchen after a long day at work. Just by switching up the time I make the meals by making breakfast the day before and prepping lunch and dinner in the morning I’ve saved 3 hours in the evenings, made 3 extra meals than I normally would be able to make, washed, dried, and put away 6 loads of laundry. I even had some quality time for myself and my family where I would normally be too tired to interact with them. Thank you so much for sharing this video with me!

Just here to say you don't have to be a super mom. If you have to work full-time to pay the bills and if your partner doesn't help much for whatever reason or if you don't have a partner, You don't have to stay up late and deprive yourself of sleep to do these kind of things. I don't know about other countries but here in the US there's no way you can do it all. Whether you can always make your kids snacks homemade or whether you have to buy store-bought, the fact that you're working and being a good, loving mother makes you a super mom in and of itself. Homemade snacks are great if you can do it but don't beat yourself up if you can't.

Fun fact i learned on a documentary -- snacking became common bc it was marketed to us heavily, when food manufacturers were looking for ways to use things they would otherwise discard. Similar to how big pharma started, and many "beauty" products came to be, born out of petrolem leftovers..
